Our attention have been drawn to some baseless, utterly ridiculous and farcical reports making the round in Bayelsa media circles, especially the Social Media, that His Royal Flyness Fortune God’sSon Alfred has endorsed the Governor of Bayelsa State for a Second Term.
Ordinarily, we would not have responded to these irrelevant and ludicrous claims. However, for the sake of the unsuspecting public and for the records I want to categorically state that His Royal Flyness never endorsed Governor Henry Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State for a second term in office. So any claims to the contrary are lies from the pit of hell, without any modicum of truth.
Nonetheless, His Royal Flyness is not against the governor or the government of Bayelsa state as it is being insinuated in some quarters. He is only a concerned Bayelsan who is against pilferage, wastage, impunity and corruption in government.
It is true that FGA was in Bayelsa State over the weekend as one of 15 people nominated by the reputable Ijaw Nation Forum (INF) on a Project VERIFICATION or (as the Commission for Culture and Ijaw National Affairs Dr Felix Tuodolo aptly captioned it) COME AND SEE TOUR in the state. However, no one endorsed anyone. In fact, he declined his nomination into the committee that is responsible for drafting the Team’s Report on the Tour in other for it not to have his critical DNA on it.
As at the time of writing this, the Report of the INF COME & SEE/VERIFICATION TOUR has neither been completed nor published. So, FGA advice that no one should preempts its content.
As the name of the tour implies, its main objective was to SEE (Verify if true or false) the Projects the Government claims to have executed and NOT TO EVALUATE them. So there is no way that FGA could have endorsed anyone during that visit.
His Royal Flyness challenges those claiming this phantom endorsement to provide video or audio footage of him endorsing anyone for second term.
He was interviewed by Radio Bayelsa, NDTV and Punch and they have both audio and videos. So providing footages to back this claim should not be a difficult task, if he actually endorsed anyone.
His Royal Flyness is still dexterous with his pen, fingers and tongue, so, if and when the need ever arises for him to favour anyone with his revered and coveted endorsement, it will be done in the open and by him in person, not by Government owned Media outfits.
HRF Fortune God’sSon Alfred is still on his ‘Vacation’ – break from active Social Media engagements. And thus would not want to join issues with anyone on this or any other issue. So all those who are warming up to discredit him by all means should continue to waste their time, because he will continue to be above board and stand tall as a symbol of a better Bayelsa and Ijaw Nation for many years to come.
As for those who claim that FGA now praises HSD good for you. He has never had anything personal against the Governor or anyone. FGA has always point out and commended the good works of the government as well as condemn their wrongs. Nonetheless, it would be nice if you provide evidence (at least two recent threads from him praising the government) to back your claims.
In conclusion, HRF FGA has not endorsed any candidate in Bayelsa State for the 2016 Gubernatorial Election. He believes that 2016 is still very far away and those who place the interest of Bayelsans above their own parochial interest would have nothing to worry about in terms of re-election.
FGA urges all his comrades in SAYELBA to disregard the lie called endorsement and redouble their energy for the realization of a better Bayelsa, Ijaw Nation, Niger Delta and Nigeria. He urges everyone not to be distracted by the shenanigans of desperate politicians who want to get endorsements via the backdoor. This is because, according to him, as the election season draws closer, politicians become desperate and use all sort of tactics to try to win over the citizens they could have easily won by serving them better in the first place.
FGA salute your courage and misses you every second. That’s why he still sneaks in at intervals.
